Football Sunday Show and Tell

Well by the title you'd probably think I was going to show something about football, but I'm not. I have something I've been wanting to show since I started this blog.

Last night I finally finished my first crochet project I started. Don't get me wrong, I've finished several in the last year, but they were only after putting this one on hold. Here's some pictures...

This project took so long because there are 96 of the little squares that make up the bigger squares. Then all the squares have to be sewn together. I'm so happy it's done. I had to do a few project in between just so that I didn't give up completely. Need to have a sense of accomplishment once in a while.

Now on to Footballs Sunday! Yes, it's one of my favorite days. This may sound weird coming from a woman, but over the last 5 years it has become a tradition. Every Sunday we get together at B's Uncle's house and watch the Buffalo Bills hopefully play a decent game. We have great food and so many memorable times. We even have a book that we write down our comical sayings in so that we can remember them for the next year. And did I mention the food? Some times it's chili, or Taco soup, crock pot pizza, lasagna for his cousins b-day, I tell you it's a pregnant woman's dream, or nightmare if you don't happen to like what they are serving that day. I'm not sure what's for dinner today, but I'm hoping for crock pot pizza or taco soup!

Show and Tell Anniversary Edition

Well, in honor of today being my anniversary I decided I would share with the class some of my wedding pictures. I can't believe it's been a year already!

Ok so here we have me finishing up getting my make up done. I loved having it done. My MIL was nice enough to pay for it for me.

My grandfather walked me down the isle. He's been the only man in my life that was there for me through everything. I love him so much!




This is the box my grandfather made for us. During the ceremony the JP talked about how we each wrote a letter to the other and did not show them to each other. And we locked the box and it is only to be opened if we find our marriage in trouble or on our 20th anniversary if we choose. If you want to read more about it you can here. I cried the first time I read about it cause I thought it was so sweet. Even B loved it.

This was our wedding party. The one in all blue is my younger sister, she was my maid of honor. And all the other girls are my sorority sisters and best friends.

There's my short B. On either side are his step brothers, the one with the silver vest was hi best man. The one all the way on the left is his best friend (whom is gorgeous, but not so much in a tux) and all the way on the right is his cousin.

I love this picture of our rings in my flowers.

This is our cake I designed. Didn't turn out exactly as I wanted, but everyone said it was great. I wanted the white dots to look like pearls, and the bow should be down on the ribbon band so it matched the girls' dresses, but oh well.

And this was the topper on the cake at our rehearsal dinner. B love to fish, he love it.

And this is B licking the cake off my face after shoving it up my nose. You can see his dad and step-mom in the back ground smiling from ear to ear.

And last but not least, this is a picture of us in a game that the DJ surprised us with. We both had one of our own shoes and one of the other's shoes. And the DJ would ask us questions like who takes care of money, and who would say I love you more and other really funny stuff that I can't remember now. It was a lot of fun and the guests loved it. I paid $1500 for my DJ in the end, and he would have played as long as we wanted for no extra charge. It was worth every penny! Check out these Demos, he's amazing. Show and Tell and other news...

Holy crap, I totally remembered this week! Can you believe it?!?! So this week I'm showing off my brand new Elliptical Machine. I just got it last week.

Please don't mind the mess in the background, we just got done setting it up. I can't wait until we get the room turned into an actual workout room. Right in front of it there is a TV wish Dish connected.

I used it 1 night last week and can't believe how out of shape I am. I used to use one at the gym for 45 and think nothing of it, but the night I used it, I was on there for about 10 minutes thinking OMG what have I gotten myself into?

In other news, I'm happy to say that we have been able to keep up the EOD BD schedule so far. And excitingly enough I think I O'd yesterday. I'm not 100% sure if it was Friday or yesterday, but today my cervix is feeling closed and firm and my cm isn't watery anymore. Best part if I O'd yesterday is that yesterday was a BD day, and we BD in the morning, which is supposed to be the better time of day.

Our anniversary is a week from today so it looks like I won't be celebrating with a drink, but that's ok. We're going to have a nice romantic dinner out I think. I wish I could know by then, it would be a great gift, but there is no way I'd get a BFP by then. Now I just have to decide if and when I'll test. If I figure a 14 day LP I should be able to test on the 23rd, but I don't know if I could handle a BFN 2 days before the EDD of my angel. Not that AF will be any easier, but I suppose if I can wait until the 25th or after to test I should know just by the absence of AF, that would be 16dpo.

I guess we'll see what happens...

Show and Tell Blanket

This week I'm going to show off the first blanket I made. It's crocheted and it was a Christmas gift for my mother two years ago.

It's white, red and green. You can't really see it but there is a red and then green border around the out side. It seemed like it took forever to make it, but it was so worth it in the end. On Christmas eve we went to a Buffalo Bills Football game and I had to work on it all the way there (3 hours). Then again on the way home. I got up early Christmas morning to finish it up. Then I had to give it to my mom and ask for it back cause it still had loose ends hanging off the back.

She was sweet though cause when she opened it she asked me where I bought it. Then almot a year later (1 week after Thanksgiving in 07) my mom's house almost burnt down because of a malfunctioning carosene heater. It smuldered in their basement for 2 hours before they woke up. I was so happy when the dry cleaner place was able to get it clean. The soot that settled throughout the house pretty much ruined everything. I was going to be really upset if my first piece of work was ruined. But happily it wasn't.

I'm sure I'll be sharing some more of my pieces work in the future!

Show and Tell

This week I want to show off my camper. Mainly cause we haven't been up there in a few weeks and I miss it. We have a seasonal campsite at a camp ground that has a "lake", it's actually a large pond and you can walk around it in probably a half an hour. It's great for fishing though.

We got quite lucky when we found this place. We were at the camp ground camping with some of our friends that had a site. On our way out that Sunday we noticed there was for sale sign. There wasn't a price and we figured just for the heck of it we'd see how much they were asking. To our surprise it was only $5000. And it came with the deck, all the outdoor and indoor furniture and a shed that was only 2 years old. It is somewhere around 40ft long and has a slide out. The only down fall was that the bedroom had been turned into a dining room, but there was still a kids room with 3 bunk style beds. We tore out the bunk beds and made it into the bedroom using the mattresses from the bunk beds. It's perfect now.

This is a close up of the front. The dark black spot on the right side is a sliding glass door. And the open door on the left is where the bedroom is. Just in front of the folding chair you can see the start of the fire pit and in front of that we have another 10 feeting of yard where we have horse shoe pits.

This picture shows our screened in tent and behind that is our dog pen with DH's Tony Stewart Flad flying in the wind.

We spend a lot of time here during the summer on the weekends. Its a great get away from the real world some times. Its mostly quiet, unless we have a party and friends and family come and cookout with us all the time.

Show and Tell

I just found this lovely section and thought I'd join in.

I want to show off my wonderful husband. This past weekend we went on a camping trip with our friends and they have two little girls. Cadence, she's 19 months and Payton, she's 5 months. Well the couple seems to have issues with who does what and how to take care of the girls. Well in my eyes the father doesn't do much of anything but tell the mother how things should be done. He sits there and yells for her if they need their diapers changed, and won't get up to make a bottle when the baby is crying, even though the mother is busy. Kind of irritates me, but I don't say anything cause it's not my place. Well I'm showing off my husband acting like a daddy. He changed more diapers this weekend on kids who aren't even his. I feel so blessed cause I know he is going to be a wonderful daddy!

I didn't get any on my camera with the baby, but he's just as good with her. He even tells them that we'll watch the kids whenever they want. I can't wait to see him with our little ones!
