End of an Era
I can't believe I'm actually writing this post. I also can't believe I started this blog over 4 years ago and how much things have changed since then.
This blog was started to help me and hopefully others cope with miscarriage and TTC after. And then it developed into infertility and parenting. The road from my loss to my little family of 4 has been long and short all at the same time and this little blog has helped me cope with so much more than just the loss of my first pregnancy.
But this is not the end! Please join me on my "new" journey at Mama's Losing It! All of my posts from this blog have been migrated over along with the posts from Finding the Healthy Within.
I will continue to post about parenting and life in general as a working mom, along with my weight loss journey. Who says we can't have it all. So please head on over to my first post A New Beginning

Weddings and Babies
I've been feeling really nostalgic lately when it comes to my friends. I really only have 4 or 5 girl friends besides my sitter and the girls I know because of her. One lives in my town, but until recently she has been the "free" one. Meaning no kids. And oddly enough we are very different people. We became friends because we hung out with the same people. Strangely she is the only one of those "people" I still have real contact with.
The other 3 girls live at least 2 hours away and are also in different places in their lives. Only one is married with a little one, but she too is at least 2 hours away. With my financial situation it makes it really hard to get together with anyone to hang out. Especially if I want something like a girls night out.
I haven't seen any of these girl friends since April! Almost 6 months now!
Anyway, yesterday was a great day. I got to have lunch with my girlfriend in town. She's now half way through her pregnancy and expecting a little boy in Feb. It was nice to be able to give her advice and tell her stories. She said most people have just told her horror stories and that made me sad. She is the first person I've admitted to that "I'm addicted to giving birth". Well now I've admitted it to the world, but really I am. There is high of adrenaline and emotions associated with it that makes me want to keep having babies despite the sleepless nights, the frustrations of a toddler and the arguments with the hubbs.
Then I got home and had a beautiful letter from my best friend asking me to be her Matron of Honor. I cried. The letter was so sweet and funny. I met her my first few weeks of college and we were pretty much inseparable from then on. She lives 2 hours away, but that doesn't matter. It's funny I sent her texts last week telling her I missed her. Its one of those that life gets in the way of us seeing each other, but we are always there. I'm so excited for her upcoming wedding. I remember her saying "If I ever get married" and her fiance telling me "I can't wait to ask her to marry me, but I have to wait til she's ready." And the night she called me to tell me he proposed.
Yesterday was just a good day that I needed. I still want a night out with these girls, but it will come. At least I know we have the wedding to look forward to. (Oh yeah I introduced the 2 girls in college and they are great friends now too!)

Baby Squash
Start with any kind of squash (this is also a good way to make pumpkin for the pumpkin)
Pre-heat the oven to 400F
Cut it in half and scrape the seeds out.
(you could keep these and roast for yourself)
Place cut side down in a baking pan with 1-2 inches of water.
Bake in the oven for 45 min to an hour.
Or until the skin is puckered like below.
Let it cool until you can handle it and scoop out the "meat".
I squashed it (punned totally intended),
in the bowl with the spoon before putting in my bullet.
Puree until you reach the consistency you want,
adding water as needed.
Baby girl was awake and hungry by the time I got here so I totally for got to take after pictures...
And because I'm lame I have no idea what the cost break down was either. I made this probably a month ago... See hard to keep up...

Too Soon
Yes I think it's just a little too soon for this stuff...
All she has to do is figure out how to get those feet under her and she's gonna be gone. Anyone want to take bets on if she walks or crawls first?

It's Going to Happen
There are many reasons for doing this, but the main reason is that both blogs have a lot to do with each other. I can’t talk about my weight loss journey effectively without talking about my life and family. And my weight loss journey is a huge part of my life with my family. Plus the reality is, it’s a pain in the ass to keep up with 2 blogs and think of 2 different things to right about every day. Let alone find the time to write 2 blogs in a day.
My plan is to take the posts from both blogs and merge them into one (I’ve read it can be done). Then continue with new posts that some days may be about weight loss, some days family and kids and possibly even both.
My question for my wonderful followers… Any suggestions for a new blog name? I feel like the title of the blog should incorporate family and fitness, but I can’t think of anything I really like. Something as simple as Fit Mommy would work, I just don’t think that really “fits” right now, it’s a status I’m trying to achieve though! And if you have any suggestions on a host to use I’m all for hearing them. I like blogger, but I know wordpress can be good too. Anyone have any other hosts, or reasons why they like more than the other?
I hope everyone sticks around through the change….
